Our Story of how we became a family

Our Positive Culture

We help, encourage and build each other up. We respect the strengths and challenges of our teammates. We don't entertain gossip. We do not waste energy on negative behavior. We reach goals together. We let our passion out. We are stronger because of the person next to us. We trust each other. We take care of each other. We are unstoppable. We are a family.

We are Houston Elite.

How Houston Elite was born.

It was meant to be....

One day I received a phone call asking if I would be interested in coaching a synchro team north of Houston. Without thinking, I said, "yes!"

One flyer was created and distributed throughout the four area rinks in Houston, and we came up short at 11 skaters on the day of choreography camp.

On the way to the rink, I thought about how was I going to break the news to the girls that we would not have enough skaters to be eligible for our competition season. Then I made one more call.

The skater's mom answered, and after I finished explaining the situation, she responded that she would be at the rink ready to go in a matter of hours. And, thus, the 12th man and our inaugural team was born!

They spent the next two days hammering out choreography to the song "RISE" and proudly represented Texas as Houston Elite, for the first time, in Kalamazoo, Michigan and Wichita, Kansas.
